QotD: Tune In, Turn On

How many TVs do you have in your house?

  1. Living Room: has the digital cable box and TiVo.
  2. Bedroom: has the ancient DVD player.

I need noise to fall asleep. Its weird, I know. As a kid, I played a tape and later CD so that it would eventually hit the end. No automatically playing the other side for me!

When I moved here, I just had the one. It was really difficult to fall asleep. Andy was getting rid of his second TV, so I bought it off of him.

Not weird at all, I do this. I used to sleep with the tv on all the time and tried to stop in the interest of getting a better night's sleep. It never happened until the tv in my bedroom broke, I guess almost a couple of year's ago now. I didn't replace it but I'm considering doing so now. As a replacement, I have a "sleep" playlist. Most of the time I like a little light too. And no, I don't have a night light; he street light is enough.

Yeah, I found the TV staying on all night long hindered staying asleep. So I use the "Sleep" to kill it after half an hour to an hour. Maybe one night out of the week I hear it turn off? Even then I am so close to falling asleep that I leave it and go on my own.Unless I've had a lot of caffeine in which case I'll lay there for a couple hours before I finally go to sleep.
