Always a Gotcha

Never, ever trust technology. No matter how “easy” they claim it will be, there is always a “gotcha”. Just to be clear, a gotcha, is a user-defined misconfiguration. Frequently they are a default configuration the user is supposed to change, but not clearly noted in the documentation.

So much in technology is an afterthought. The only reason it improves is because semi-well thought out software makes it to market and people complain about the problems. This means we have to deal with semi-functioning software until the mythical “next release” where we will be in Shangri-la!

Woohoo!

The next release will solve all our problems. Except they didn’t have the fix ready and introduced more problems.

Dammit!
