Kinda thinking about this post by Vixenz. I wonder why the 7 wonders of the modern world (the 1918 one) went away from landmarks? I agree that some inventions are much more significant than any ole landmark, but I think landmarks deserve their own list. Saw a show on plans to build an arcology-like structure in Hong Kong Bay. This thing would dwarf the World Trade Center.

Think computing IS frustrating and too complex right now. I think Microsoft is responsible for it (anyone who is hundreds of address books gets virus after virus understands why). Unix users are safe. Mac users are more or less safe as long as they do not use Microsoft products. Would be interesting to see how computing would work in a system without a Microsoft monopoly.

Who do you trust online? Maybe I am just jaded, but I don’t trust anyone. My birthday? Not real on any web site for those that require it. Used to not even use my real name, just an alias. I still get junk postal mail under that alias to my 3rd party address. PCWorld.com – Who’s a Surfer to Trust?

I never share info on the net that really really identifies me. It just isn’t safe to do so.

Good. I’m sick of spam. I can’t even use my email accounts anymore because they are full of spam and I don’t want to sort through the shit. If I get another Tight Teen P***y e-mail, I’m going to kill someone!

One of the things I did at Pitas was to make sure to include the subjects of spam on my web site. It boosted my searches tremendously.
