dih-MEEN

demean dih-MEEN (verb) : to conduct or behave (oneself) usually in a proper manner

Wonder why I’ve always thought this meant something like “to abase or oneself; lower in station”? I am thinking that I’ve usually seen this in the context of someone that is getting reprimanded or having to something they do not want to do. That is what I get for reading books with a higher vocabulary than I am used to while younger.

Chris is happy. He has found a female that is almost as geeky as he is. Think I speak for us all when I say, “About frickin’ time!” and “Does she have a sister or bestfriend?”
